The MAT Foundry Group are now looking for a Project Engineer to help deliver our business goals of the future.

This new position comes from the need to maintain, develop, and introduce improved manufacturing strategies to streamline the business's functionality, meet customer demands, work alongside recognised standards and practices, and introduce strict systematic processes to improve product quality and transition into an environmentally friendly business.

MAT Foundry Group headquarters is based in the UK, this role consists of a 2-year placement and will involve international travel where required.

Responsibilities

• Identify robust solutions to engineering problems
• Lead small to medium projects from concept to completion
• Assist on larger engineering projects
• Responsible for Health and Safety relating to the assigned project
• Work independently with external suppliers & contractors
• Ability to control budgets on specific projects
• Oversee and assess new and existing engineering solutions and technologies.
• To develop and expand on industry 4.0 technologies
• To become a facilitator of engineering improvements across the MAT Foundry Group.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• A background and/or qualifications in Engineering such as Electrical or Mechanical is essential.
• A background in heavy industry/manufacturing and a qualification in project management would be desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate at all levels in English (verbal and written).
• A second language would be advantageous, although not essential.
• Self-motivated with an ability to lead themselves, but also a strong team player.
• Confident decision maker with the ability to canvas a range of robust viewpoints and make critical decisions based on best available data.
• Confidence to travel independently.
